Smith Stays in State Will Be a BUCKEYE

Smith took the long road to Division 1 football but Tuesday 1/29/13 his new road started with a verbal commitment to The Ohio State University to continue his education and athletic career. Smith was one of the top recruits coming out of high school and had committed to The University Tennessee, but some things happened and Smith was forced the junior college route. Corey Smith, a 6'0" 185 lb receiver had an impressive offers list that includes Ohio State, Tennessee, Nebraska, Ole Miss, and Vanderbilt, Michigan State and many others. Smith led the EMCC Lions this past season with 51 receptions for 733 yards and nine touchdowns. He was named NJCAA All-American.
