Q&A with Kevin Gladney about his visit to Nebraska
MKU Staff: You did take your official visit to Nebraska this past weekend. What is an “official visit” like? When did you get to Lincoln? How long were you there? What did you do when you were on your visit (activities, academic counselors, etc.)? Who was your host?
Gladney: My official visit is like a visit where you hang with the players go to the team meetings check out academic qualities and watch the football game. I got to Lincoln on October 27 in the morning and I was there until October 29.
MKU Staff: When you were on your official visit, did you get to spend much time with other recruits who were also in town for official visits? Did you do some recruiting of your own, trying to get some players to commit to UN?
Gladney: Yes, I spend time with recruits that were committed to the school along with me. One commit that was on the visit also was quarter back Johnny Stanton. Yes, I have did some recruiting coaches said they need a slot WR.
MKU Staff: Coming into high school, was a football scholarship always in your plans, or were you interested in other sports?
Gladney: Coming into high school basketball was actually my scholarship plan.
MKU Staff: Are you ready to face the pressure of performing at a very high level because fans will have high hopes and expectations because of what you have accomplished in high school?
Gladney: Yes. I think I'm ready its a couple things to still work on, but that's what life is about getting better.
MKU Staff: If you weren't a WR, what position would you love to play and why?
Gladney: If I weren't a WR I would love to play quarter back because I can control the offense and running back because I like running and scoring
MKU Staff: What are some team and personal goals you want to achieve playing at Nebraska?
Gladney: Some team goals playing for Nebraska is to win a bowl games. Personally get my education play and break records.
